Background: Social Work Scotland are a professional leadership body for the social work profession, which represents social workers and other professionals who lead and support social work across all sectors. Social Work Scotland require a Managed IT Service Provider to support our growing organisation, which currently employs 25-30 individuals. While Social Work Scotland maintains a physical headquarters, we operate on a hybrid model of working, with our staff largely working from home.

What we want: We want to contract a Managed IT Service Provider capable of meeting all our IT support needs. In keeping with supporting our employees in a fast-paced environment, where the majority of our work is online, we are looking for an experienced, proactive and reliable IT support provider to deliver the following services (including but not limited to):

  • Ensure remote support for our staff team, addressing any needs effectively.
  • Provide responsive support to questions and problems that may arise, to support the fast-paced working environment in which we operate, and to help minimise disruptions.
  • Facilitate procurement and installation of both software and hardware, including providing advice tailored to our operational needs.
  • Monitor networks and devices ensuring stability and providing virus protection support.
  • Continued support for the services we use, including Office 365 and other tools.
  • Perform regular audits and appraisals of our IT systems to ensure they remain fit for service.
  • Develop and implement a recovery plan, ensuring minimal downtime in case of technical failures or cyber incidents.
  • Provide phishing simulation.
  • Provide training for staff on IT tools and systems when required and support onboarding processes for new employees with the necessary equipment and IT setup.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data protection laws (e.g., UK GDPR), including offering guidance on secure data storage and sharing.
  • Other support and services as identified.

We invite interested IT providers to submit a proposal outlining how they would meet the specifications listed above.

For your proposal, please include:

  • A brief overview of your company and relevant experience.
  • A detailed response to each of the support areas listed.
  • Pricing model and any ongoing costs.
  • Client references (preferably from similar organisations).
  • Information on your data security practices and compliance credentials.

Submission deadline: 29 August 2025
