Interested in supporting the Scottish Child Interview Model?

Exciting opportunity for experienced practitioners and those interested in the Scottish Child Interview Model (SCIM)

We are seeking practitioners with experience of working with children to take on the role of the child in simulated interviews during the new National Joint Investigative Interviewing Course taking place at the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan.

We are not just seeking those with experience of Joint Investigative Interviewing, it is the ability to meaningfully take on the role of the child that is important.  This course runs regularly and various opportunities are available throughout the year, so please get in touch to find a date suitable for you.

Participants will be able to use this opportunity to reflect upon and develop their own practice. They will benefit from seeing the Scottish Child Interview Model in action, as well as making a significant contribution to the development of new Joint Investigative Interviewing practice in Scotland.

Practitioners will receive some training which can be accessed online prior to attending (approx. 1hr) if necessary to prepare for the role. There are no additional costs for practitioners wishing to attend and they will be provided with lunch and refreshments.

Any notes of interest should be submitted to the following email address JointInterviewProject@scotland.police.uk

We welcome all enquiries therefore please don’t hesitate to contact us should you have any questions or require further information.
