Scottish Social Work Partnership

The Scottish Social Work Partnership brings together national organisations committed to strengthening social work in Scotland:

  • Office of the Chief Social Work Adviser (Scottish Government)
  • COSLA (local government)
  • Social Work Scotland (local social work leaders)

The Scottish Social Work Partnership is leading a national conversation to shape the future of social work. Your voice – whether you’re a student, practitioner, or leader – is vital in building a profession that is valued, supported, and sustainable.

From October 2025 – January 2026 we listened to the experiences, challenges and aspirations of social work students, practitioners and leaders to shape the future of social work in Scotland, working with sector organisations, employers, educators, policy makers, and people who use social work services and their carers. These findings are informing a Strategic Plan 2026-29.
