Collective power: Ordinary action. Extraordinary impact.

Meaningful change is rarely achieved alone. It is built through shared purpose, relationships, and the collective power of people working together.

Bringing children and families social work practitioners, leaders, and partners together, this conference will

  • explore harnessing collective power – a critical and powerful element of children and families social work that practitioners and partners do every day;
  • showcase how ordinary actions are having extraordinary impact – highlighting some of the transformational day-to-day practice happening across the country
  • offer knowledge sharing through keynotes, presentations, and interactive workshops – learn from experts, leaders, and peers;
  • and celebrate the meaningful change happening in the face of significant external pressures.

Extraordinary impact does not always begin with extraordinary action. It is often found in the everyday.

We want to reflect on the meaningful change happening through the work of individuals and teams around the country and offer a space to foster further connections, collaborations and opportunities with colleagues and peers.

Amidst significant national conversations about priorities, ambitions, and the future of children’s services, this is a moment to pause and recognise what is already being achieved through the people, practice and partnerships making a difference. Furthermore, how increased collaboration and shared learning can, and does, transform lives for children and families across Scotland.

Come together. Share what works. Be inspired. And recognise the extraordinary power of what we do, together.
