Social Work Scotland welcomes the publication of the National Anti-Racism Survey Report and Action Plan commissioned by the Social Work Anti-Racism Oversight Group and funded by the Scottish Government, providing vital evidence to inform collective efforts in eliminating racism from the social work sector in Scotland. Scotland’s demographics are changing, and we must strive for an inclusive and diverse workforce, backed by supportive leadership, that reflects the communities we live and work in. We will continue to support this work and engage with Scottish Government to ensure inclusive working environments for our members and the wider workforce, as part of our vision of a social work profession which is accessible, accountable, and promotes social justice.
