Social Work Scotland response to Newly Qualified Social Worker Continues Professional Learning requirements consultation

Introduction
Social Work Scotland welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Scottish Social Services Council consultation on proposed changes to the Continuing Professional Learning (CPL) requirements for Newly Qualified Social Workers (NQSWs). This response has been informed by discussion within the Social Work Scotland Learning and Development Subgroup, including a consultation session with representatives from the SSSC, which brought together learning and development leads, workforce practitioners and managers involved in supporting NQSWs through their supported year.
