More than 1,500 social work professionals in Scotland have responded to our ‘Setting the bar: the social work caseload survey’, which closed on 21 March.
The anonymous survey, which examines the reality of working in the social work field at the moment, covers questions around caseload numbers, was prompted by our Workforce and Resources Standing Committee, and aimed to find out more about the work social workers are doing, and the rewards and challenges they experience, with particular regard to caseloads and workloads more specifically.
The results are now being analysed will inform workforce planning discussions and the development of indicative maximum caseloads for social workers in Scotland.
We expect to release an initial report in April.
