Community Justice Scotland published the National Guidelines on Diversion from Prosecution in Scotland on 10 June 2026. This guidance is for all partners involved in the delivery of Diversion from Prosecution.
To complement this guidance, the Early Intervention and Prevention Sub Group of the Social Work Scotland Justice Standing Committee are also publishing practice guidance and templates to provide specific support and guidance for justice practitioners in this area.
The materials include Justice Practice Guidance and Justice Practice quick-guide, templates for suitability reports and intervention reports for both Pathway A and Pathway B, as well as a template for service user feedback.
